Eight Percent of human water consumption goes to produce meat as food includes growing feed for animals .
World meat production nearly 30 crore tons,out of that pig meat accounts to 10 crore,beef meat accounts to 6 crore,poultry (Chicken) accounts to 10 crore.Average production of meat per peson is 40 KG per year.
Worldwide 60 billion animals are raised and killed for food every year.The ever increasing need of meat for human population pushing the poultry owners follow unsustainable way of producing meat which starts from
1.Deforestation to grow food for rearing animals.
2.Degradation of land since they use fertilizers to grow feed in excessive quantity.
3.The large amount of waste generated in farms(Excreta ,urine,anti biotic to prevent animal from infection) exceeds the capacity of nearby cropland to utilize and turn valuable waste to toxic waste .Nitrate ,Heavy metals,antibiotic pollute local water bodies.
4.Arsenic has been using in poultry as antibiotic and to give pink color to flesh.Arsenic lethal toxic chemical which cause abnormality in heart rhythm.
The abuse of rearing animals by the workers and farming authority cannot be mentioned in the words.
There are no place to stand ,extreme bad conditions ,inhuman ways of slaughtering(killing).
Way back in 1950 there was free range farming ,where the animals will be kept free ,they are free to graze in natural environment ,allowed to move on sunlight .So there is a great need of free range poultry farming where animals will be reared with humanity and can significantly control human and
environment health effects.
